The Wipala Wiki Lodge’s Annual Banquet was well-attended with close to 300 in the audience. I’d say that was a pretty good turnout for a Friday night event and thanks to all that came out and supported the Lodge. Having the National Officers and Advisors there made it a good time for all with fellowship, great food, service awards and Vigil recognitions. What a memory for the new Wipala Wiki Chief Robert Bartlemay to have the Bonnet placed upon him by our outgoing Lodge Chief, Derek Smith. I want to thank Derek for his service this last year.
The Banquet also marks my 2nd full year as Lodge Advisor and I’ll tell you this is an easy job if you ask. I want to thank all Arrowmen for their help and support to make all the arrows fly straight and I am honored to again be the Lodge Advisor for 2018 with the exciting new theme of “A New Flame. A New Outlook.”
This year, we will be holding the LLD (Lodge Leadership Training) at the Heard Scout Pueblo on February 9th-10th. This is our Annual training for Chapter Chiefs, Advisers and anyone looking to be more active in the Lodge. It starts Friday night with some fellowship and training, and then continues Saturday till 1pm. Please join us!
CALLING OUT …. All 2017 Award Recipients and those called out for Vigil to attend the Council Volunteer Recognition Celebration and Reception on February 10th @ 2 PM- 4 PM. The event will be held @ Tempe Institute of Religion @ 1000 S. McAllister Avenue. Many Vigil members will be in attendance so this would be a great opportunity for signatures on your triangle. Please RSVP via email to me right away via email so Council can plan accordingly for your attendance.
March 2nd -4th will be our Spring Fellowship weekend also at the Heard Pueblo. Please put this on your calendar and sign up early to support our new Vice Chief of Events, Justin Canode.
Looking forward to a great year! Please email me with questions or concerns regarding Lodge Business using my personal email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
